Pay as You Go from Alibaba Cloud Marketplace

Refer to the billing Overview▸, AutoMQ Cloud BYOC Edition supports both prepaid and pay-as-you-go payment methods. This article provides a detailed explanation on how to make payments and settle accounts through Alibaba Cloud Marketplace under the pay-as-you-go model.

Throughout this article, terms such as AutoMQ product service provider, AutoMQ service provider, and AutoMQ, specifically refer to "AutoMQ CO., Hangzhou".

The terms cloud providers, public cloud providers mentioned in this article specifically refer to the underlying cloud service providers on which AutoMQ Cloud depends, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and others.

Prerequisites​

AutoMQ Cloud BYOC Edition is now available on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace for commercial sales. If your current application is deployed in the Alibaba Cloud public environment, it is recommended to use the marketplace's pay-as-you-go payment model. The following conditions must be met before usage:

  • Site requirements: Your enterprise application must be deployed on an Alibaba Cloud site in China, as AutoMQ does not currently support international site sales. If needed, please refer to the document Obtaining Services▸ and contact our technical staff.

  • Account requirements: Your current Alibaba

Cloud account must have passed real-name verification.

  • Regional requirements: AutoMQ Cloud BYOC Edition currently only supports deployment in specified regions. If you have other regional requirements, please refer to the document Obtain Services▸ and contact our technical staff.

The AutoMQ Cloud BYOC edition currently supports deployments in multiple Alibaba Cloud regions, including North China 1 (Qingdao), North China 2 (Beijing), North China 3 (Zhangjiakou), East China 1 (Hangzhou), East China 2 (Shanghai), South China 1 (Shenzhen), South China 3 (Guangzhou), Hong Kong China, Singapore, USA (Silicon Valley), and USA (Virginia).

Cloud Market Payment Process​

The AutoMQ Cloud BYOC edition is now listed under Alibaba Cloud Market > Basic Software > Application Development category as AutoMQ for Kafka (BYOC Pay-As-You-Go Edition). The process is depicted in the accompanying figure:

  1. Users can visit the Cloud Market to search for and subscribe to the AutoMQ for Kafka (BYOC Pay-As-You-Go Edition) product.

  2. Once subscribed, the Alibaba Cloud Market will engage the Alibaba Cloud Computing Nest Service to set up an AutoMQ Cloud BYOC edition environment console.

  3. Within this console, users can establish AutoMQ Kafka instances according to their specific requirements.

  4. These AutoMQ Kafka instances are then deployed using a commercial, paid version image, and Alibaba Cloud ECS will automatically calculate the total number of ECS instances and AKU counts used.

  5. Finally, the Cloud Market Cost Center will compute and invoice for the total AKUs consumed by the paid image at the respective unit price.

In the aforementioned process, there are no fees for activating a subscription or setting up an environment console; charges for using AutoMQ only apply to the actual AKU consumption of the Kafka cluster on a pay-as-you-go basis. Note:

Each activation of a subscription involves deploying an environment console. While the deployment itself incurs no fees from AutoMQ, it does necessitate the use of an ECS machine for operation.

Please refer to Glossary▸; creating a new environment console is usually advised only under varying network conditions and for different business department needs.
