Manage Environment License

When using the AutoMQ Cloud BYOC product with a prepaid subscription License payment method, you need to manage the License within the environment according to this document.

The terms AutoMQ product service provider, AutoMQ service provider, and AutoMQ mentioned in this document specifically refer to AutoMQ HK Limited.

Obtaining a License

When a new user installs the AutoMQ Cloud BYOC environment for the first time, a built-in free trial License is provided by default, allowing you to quickly experience AutoMQ without the need to purchase.

The default free trial License is valid for 14 days and supports a free trial quota of 14 AKUs. For the definition of AKU, refer to the document Billing Instructions for BYOC▸.

Users in a formal production environment can purchase a License through the following channels:

Users can contact the AutoMQ technical team for License procurement through Obtaining Services▸.

Using the License to Activate the Environment

After the BYOC environment is installed and the license is purchased, refer to the following documentation for environment activation.

Steps to Operate

  1. Log in to the BYOC environment console and go to the Settings page.
  1. Collect the environment installation ID and configure the License information purchased in the previous step. Contact AutoMQ technical support to obtain the product key for activation.

The product key for activating the environment should be in a format similar to the following:

eyJpbnN0YWxsSWQiOiJmMGQzZDRlNmJmMjhjNTBjNGM3M2RjNzdkZTUzYTZiOSIsImVudmlyb25txxxxxxxdXRvTVEgZm9yIEthZmthICggQllPQyBNb250aGx5IFN1YnNjcmlwdGlvxxxxaWNlbnNlICkifX19

  1. Return to the Settings page and click Update Product License. Enter the product key to complete the environment activation, after which you can normally create instances.

License Renewal and Update

When the License is renewed or its specifications are changed, users need to refer to the first step Obtain License process to change the License. They also need to refer to the activation steps to reactivate the environment.

After renewing or changing the License, the environment must be reactivated; otherwise, data within the environment might not be updated, impacting business operations.
