Manage Environment License
When using the AutoMQ Cloud BYOC product, if you choose the prepaid subscription License payment method, refer to this document to manage the License within your environment.
The term AutoMQ product service provider, AutoMQ service provider, or AutoMQ mentioned in this document specifically refers to AutoMQ HK Limited.
Obtaining a License
When new users install the AutoMQ Cloud BYOC environment for the first time, a built-in free trial License is provided by default, allowing you to quickly experience AutoMQ without purchase.
The default free trial License is valid for 14 days and supports 14 AKU free trial credits. For the definition of AKU, refer to the document Billing Instructions for BYOC▸.
Users in a formal production environment can purchase a License through the following channels:
- Offline Contract Purchase License
- Purchase License on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace
Users can contact the AutoMQ technical team for License procurement through Obtaining Services▸.
AutoMQ Cloud BYOC prepaid subscription license products are now available on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace > Basic Software > Application Development under the name Alibaba Cloud AutoMQ for Kafka (BYOC Monthly Subscription License) Product. The overall usage process is shown in the figure below:
- Alibaba Cloud users can go to the Marketplace to search for AutoMQ or Kafka, find the Alibaba Cloud AutoMQ for Kafka (BYOC Monthly Subscription License) Product, select the appropriate specification version and subscription period, and purchase the authorization code.
- After a successful purchase, go to the Marketplace Buyer Console -> Purchased Services details to view the authorization code information.
Use License to Activate Environment
After the BYOC environment installation is complete and the license is purchased, refer to the following documentation for environment activation.
Operation Steps
- Log in to the BYOC environment console and go to the Settings page.
- Collect the environment installation ID, configure the License information purchased in the previous step, and contact AutoMQ technical personnel to obtain the product key for activation.
The product key for environment activation is similar to the following format:

- Return to the Settings page, click Update Product License. Enter the product key to complete environment activation, and then you can normally create instances.
License Renewal and Update
When renewing or changing the specification of a License, users need to refer to the first step Obtain License process to change the License, and then follow the activation steps to re-activate the environment.
After renewing or changing the License, the environment must be re-activated; otherwise, it may cause data within the environment to not update, affecting business operations.
